I really expected that this study of church history will be boring because I already perceived that there will be a lot of information that will be given in the class and it was true. I don't care how significant it is in our present church condition. But, when our professor told us about reasons why we need to study, my perspective changed. One thing that struck me is when I realized that I am part of this history since the history of the church began at the Pentecost until the rapture, I am in between. So now, I am encouraged to  study this subject especially that it can make me a responsible member of the true church of God by means of knowing and discovering the true doctrines that are approved in the scriptures. By the help of the church fathers, I can be strong in my conviction of truth. I can stand on the genuine doctrine by means of weighing what is indeed the truth by the help of this subject. I was also encouraged by the church fathers to deepen my knowledge about the word of God. Since they  after the first century were on fire in preserving the truth and they also deepen their knowledge about the word of God by studying the scriptures and maintaining the truth in it.
